Healthcare data integration that breaks silos without breaking privacy.

Clinical, claims, scheduling, supply and finance data rarely live in one place. Our healthcare data integration work brings them into one governed lakehouse with access rules, lineage and audit logs, so operations and analytics teams get one version of the truth and security teams can show who saw what.

— The pattern · Where it breaks

Every department has data. No one has the whole picture.

Silos by department.

The EHR, billing, scheduling and supply systems each answer part of a question. Linking them happens in spreadsheets that nobody governs.

Symptom: three reports, three different patient counts.

Access nobody can explain.

Extracts get shared to make analysis possible, and over time nobody can say who can see protected information, or why.

Symptom: an access review that takes a month.

AI pilots on copied data.

Teams test AI tools on data copied out of governed systems, which is exactly where privacy and security risk collects.

Symptom: a promising pilot stopped by the security review.

— The work · What we build

What healthcare data integration looks like on the lakehouse.

Integrated data layers

Clinical, operational and financial sources landed in bronze, conformed in silver and served from gold, with one set of shared keys.

Access and masking

Group-based access, masking of identifiers and row filters, so analysts see what their role allows and nothing more.

Lineage and audit logs

Lineage from source to report and platform audit logs retained and reviewable, so you can show who accessed protected data.

Data quality checks

Expectations that stop bad rows before they reach a dashboard, with failures that alert an owner.

Operational analytics

Gold views for capacity, throughput and supply that operations leaders can trust and Power BI can read directly.

Governed AI access

AI assistants and RAG applications reading governed, de-identified or access-controlled data rather than raw copies.

— The approach · Privacy by design

Integration and privacy are the same design problem.

The HIPAA Security Rule already expects access controls and audit controls around electronic protected health information, and HHS has proposed a stricter update that is not yet final. Either way, the evidence starts with knowing where protected data sits and who can reach it.

So we design access, masking and logging into the lakehouse from the first table, rather than adding them after the data has spread.

— The method · AIM-IT

Five phases. Every build, every time.

Assess, Innovate, Model, Implement, Track. Each phase ends with something you can inspect and sign off, not a slide.

01 · ASSESS

Assess

Source and access map

Every system, extract and shared drive holding patient or operational data, and who can reach it.

02 · INNOVATE

Innovate

Integration design

Shared keys, layers and access rules designed before any build.

03 · MODEL

Model

One use case

One operational use case, for example capacity or supply, integrated and governed end to end.

04 · IMPLEMENT

Implement

Roll out

Further sources and use cases under the same controls, with your team pairing.

05 · TRACK

Track

Control plan

Quality, access and audit checks on a schedule, each with an owner.

— The deliverable · What you get

Healthcare data integration with a fixed scope.

AIMContext

Governed healthcare data foundation, fixed scope.

Most engagements start with AIMContext, the fixed-scope build of a governed foundation:

  • Priority sources landed and conformed in a governed lakehouse.
  • Access, masking and audit logs designed around protected data.
  • Data quality checks with named owners.
  • Gold views for the operational questions leaders ask most.
  • Your team able to run it.

We build the controls and the evidence; your compliance and security teams make the regulatory call.

— The discipline · Healthcare operations

Process improvement, measured in the data.

Lean Six Sigma grew up in operations like these: throughput, waiting time, variation. Thirty years of enterprise systems work, including inside Johnson & Johnson and McKesson, says the process has to be understood before it is automated.

Integrated data is what makes that measurable, and governance is what makes it safe to share.

— Straight answers · FAQ

Questions we get asked first.

Are you a Databricks partner or certified?

No, and we will not imply otherwise. Certification is in preparation, and we are not in the Databricks partner programme. What we bring is thirty years of delivering the enterprise systems this data comes out of, inside IBM, Ernst & Young, Johnson & Johnson and McKesson, plus Lean Six Sigma at Master Black Belt level. Ask us for the work, not the badge.

Do you work with EHR data?

We work with the extracts and feeds your EHR and other systems expose, landed in your own lakehouse. We scope integration against what your vendors provide before committing to dates.

Is the HIPAA Security Rule update final?

Not as of our last check. HHS published a proposed update in January 2025. The current Security Rule already expects access and audit controls, which is what this work builds.

Can we use AI on patient data?

Only on governed data with clear access rules, masking where appropriate, and logs of what the tool touched. We design that before any pilot, not after.

What does it cost?

AIMContext starts at $3,500 for a fixed-scope governed foundation, with a typical first build in 14 days. Larger programmes are quoted after scoping, and every engagement carries the 60-Day Ship Guarantee.

Start with one operational question, not every system.

One call, your sources and your privacy constraints on the table, and a straight read on what an integrated, governed lakehouse would take.
